Koos de la Rey, studied at the university of Pretoria and completed the degrees B. Com (acct) and B.Proc. He started his career at National Employers General Insurance Company and at an early age was appointed a member of the board of directors. He then joined National Employers Life Investment Holdings and thereafter served on the boards of 82 companies, mainly financial institutions and various banks. Whilst serving as a member of the investment committee of Standard Bank he gained valuable knowledge.
Koos is currently involved in various businesses, ie hospitality, manufacturing, farming and commercial and he is a director and major investor of Hydrox Holdings Ltd.
As the sole director and shareholder of Defensive Play 52 (Pty) Ltd, Koos is confident that an investment into the “R” Ordinary Share Portfolio will meet its objectives.
